Build, join and rearrange quantities with these colourful connecting cubes. Use them on their own for counting and modelling, or with SchoolStore Number Board frames and number strips.
What you get
- 100 plastic connecting cubes.
- Cubes measure 2 cm and come in 10 assorted colours.
- Compatible with SchoolStore Number Board products, frames and number lines.
Classroom ideas to try
- Build and compare: make towers of four and seven cubes. Ask which is taller and how many extra cubes would make them equal.
- Part and whole: join a train of eight cubes using two colours. Split it in different places and describe the addition facts.
- Arrays and repeated groups: make three equal rows of four cubes. Explain the total as repeated addition and multiplication.
Invite children to explain what they notice, compare different strategies and choose equipment that suits their learning.
